Becca Schoenauer Introduction





Hi guys! My name is Becca Schoenauer. I am from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin which is an area outside of Milwaukee. I am working towards a microbiology or possibly another branch of biology) and a pre-medicine major.


In my free time I like swimming, exploring outdoors, drawing, and listening to music. I also have two dogs who I love being with: named Happy (6 years old) and Luna (3 months old).


Over the summer I went on a trip to Lake Powell, Utah. There we rented out two house boats and also brought/ towed 3 speedboats, 2 jet skis, and a few paddle boards behind the house boats. This was done between us and three other families. While we were on the trip we got to go boating all day and then relax on the house boat over 50 miles into Lake Powell/ Glen Canyon.

I think I am going to elaborate on the essay I wrote about my family going to Glacier National Park. The characters will be my mom, step dad, sisters and then a couple we met at one of our campsites that let us use their telescopes. I haven’t been there in several years. Not since my grandmother died and my granddad moved into an apartment. I remember driving up and seeing them waiting for us through the glass door, big smiles on their faces. They would come out and give us warm, welcoming hugs, a comfort after a long day on the road. Final Essay Proposal

For my final travel essay I would like to continue writing about the trip I took to New York City (it was mentioned in my bad trip essay). I want to share the good parts of the trip, the experiences I had and the places I saw. I loved that trip and loved New York and I would like to further explain that in my essay. Characters in the essay would include myself, my mom, and a few of my friends that came on the trip. We all bonded together over the trip and we still have inside jokes from it to this day. The theme would be about doing things that are unexpected and ending up loving it. The best parts of that trip weren't at the big tourist destinations that we visited, it was the small places that we found and the memories we made there.
