"White Rabbit" Response
The theme of Keith's essay, "White Rabbit" is that imagination is key to any adventure. Imagination helps with keeping you safe, for you must "imagine" possible negative scenarios to fall into so that you can pack for the trip accordingly. More than that, she states, "What you need most is imagination, a willingness to step beyond the frame of the everyday, to follow the rabbit,"(Keith 7). One example of effect language is when she states, "I have learned to respect that which can swallow me whole,"(Keith 2). This personification creates a clear image of the impressive nature all around her and shows insight to the personality of the narrator. Another example is when she states, "I laugh. It's the laughter of having the world to myself,"(Keith 5). This is able to show the positive, relieved tone with perfect clarity while also painting the untouched world around her.
