"White Rabbit" response

The theme of "White Rabbit" is that its better to travel alone. Climbing alone you have more freedom, are more aware of your surroundings and learn more from the experience. At the end of the essays she says that from hiking alone she learned that it is an imaginative act. Language I found effective was her juxtaposition of hot and cold when she said "they look at me with cold curiosity. I look at them with warm feet." Its shows how her knowledge and experience is keeping her warm. I also thought her repetition of "just in case" was effective because it shows how wary she was about traveling alone but that she still went anyways.
